Would George Washington have chopped down his father’s prized cherry tree if he knew how to identify it? We’ll probably never know the answer to this question, but we can help you tell a cherry tree from a maple tree from an oak tree.
Join us on President’s Day as we help your family kick off the start of February Vacation week with an informative nature walk around Davis Douglas Farm Conservation Area. On our walk, we’ll learn how to identify local tree species by their bark and buds and look for tracks and other signs of local animals along the trails. This family program is suitable for adults and children ages 7 and up. Dress warmly!
